Peak at our Week: How we’re celebrating life AND what we’re REALLY excited for this weekend!

So, pretty soon we’ve got some fun DIY, a little encouragement

and lots of goodness in store, but today, I thought you’d appreciate a peak at our week.

This week we kept our lives from being small and consumed by busyness this way: we scheduled in some extended family time and headed to this local historic site with my hubby’s family.

It was really beautiful. Its so necessary to take a break from the norm sometimes.

And here I am in front of this great house. It’s now a week later and I cannot for the life of me remember who used to live there, BUT you can bet he was pretty famous 😉

This week “date night” is brought to you by a beautiful Michigan summer evening and epic amounts of construction traffic. The combo lead us off the beaten path on a long drive to an unknown destination. I highly recommend getting purposefully lost with people you love once in a while. It’s energizing. We ended up finding a great little restaurant on the water and managed to snap a few #selfies. One day we have a goal of taking #selfies that don’t leave our faces plastered with shadows. But until then, we’ll just enjoy them through the imperfection.

And NOW, what were excited to tell you about this weekend…WERE SPEAKING AT A SUMMER CAMP! We have an opportunity to hang out with some awesome students and are so looking forward to what God has in store for their “no small lives” this weekend. Keep us in your prayers and be sure to check in with us on social media this weekend for updates!

  4. Ok, those are the cutest selfies ever! Mine don’t come out anywhere near as cute…if I can even manage to get my face in them at all. They’re more like Earies, or half-a-faceies.

    • Hahaha! Lori, that made me laugh so hard! “Earies” should be the new term for all the deleted weirdo selfies that never seem to make it to Instagram! lol
