It’s hard to believe that we’re waving goodbye to 2015 and stepping into a brand new year isn’t it?
It literally seems like yesterday that I wrote this post about 2014 and totally confessed to you my then love/not-always-love relationship with the New Year. BUT, that was last year and this year I can honestly say, I’ve grown a lot. I’m certainly not where I’d love to be, but I’m also definitely not who I used to be. I’ve done/learned some very difficult but necessary things this year. And God’s taught me a lot about grace, a lot about where my focus should be, how to trust Him more fully, how to be vulnerable and to recognize the difference between my naturally harsh inner critic and what His voice is really saying to me.
Walking through the grief of infertility, man, it can take it’s toll. It can do numbers on your faith, your confidence, your identity, your relationships and your calling. But God is SO good. He’s the great redeemer. He’s called us higher and stretched us to heal us in more grace-filled ways this year than I can recount. I’m excited for the new year and all that could be. And not in a whimsical wistful kind of way. In a way that is confident of the good things, whatever they may be, that my God has in store. Good things that we’re blessed to spill over into all of you and you’re rockin’ No Small Life! 😀
What’s on the docket for this year? Well, our No Small Life site is getting a makeover in 2016! (More on that soon!) And of course we’ve got some things I just can’t wait to tackle… as well as a few goals that totally freak me out. lol As it should be right? You don’t grow unless you’re challenged and “around here,” we’re always reaching higher to live that life worth celebrating.
So today, before we dive all kinds of full force into 2016, I’m taking you through the Top 10 Posts of 2015. Here’s to a little nostalgia, a little inspiration and a whole lotta laughter. Enjoy!
I have to throw a HUGE shout out to Six Sisters Stuff for pinning this on their Fitness-Exercise Routines board! See it here. That one Pin helped propel this little post to the #1 spot.
To date, our most popular DIY post. Good to know that living in sawdust for 4 months is paying off 😉
Full disclosure. I did not write this post in 2015. This is actually one of the 1st posts I ever wrote. HOWEVER, it’s still one of the most popular because…Google. Apparently, I’m not the only one who is curious to know if they could give their old kicks a new life through spray paint. Oh, and for all of you who are curious how spray painted shoes hold up? Over 2 years, still going strong. Love me some spray paint.
I bought one little thing for this project and it totally transformed the space.
I LOVED hearing the feedback from this one and getting recommendations to add to my ever growing Date Night Playlist! Also, I can almost guarantee you’ve never heard #4 and let me tell you what, you need it in your life 😉
I use this trick CONSTANTLY. Especially around the holidays.
I brought in the big guns for this one (AKA my hubs) and I literally cried hearing the feedback from you all. #1 Seemed to be the area we all needed reminders of. I hope it blessed your marriage so so much.
This post has it all. Versatility, camouflage, pics via my sister and a wardrobe malfunction. What more could you ask for?
This one is a guest post for my buddy Chris Cook. Which, if you don’t read his blog, you should!!! #AllTheInspiration
In this post I talk morning routines, my time with Jesus and how to prioritize in busy seasons.
In May, I had the honor of speaking at the Born2Win conference. This post is a quick recap of what the Lord taught me, how much the ladies at Mt Hope church blessed me AND yet another embarassing wardrobe malfunction. #NeverShortOnTheDrama 😉
I was nominated for a Liebster Award (AKA Learn all the random things about me and the blog you might not know) 😀 this year by Kristen from, “The Peculiar Treasure. It’s a fun, super personal read where you can learn all about where No Small Life came from as well as see pictures from High School, learn my middle name AND find out that I’ve taught Improv Comedy…well I guess that one I just gave away for free.
Happy New Year everyone! Let’s celebrate our wins from 2015, learn from our loses, let go of that “thing” that holds you back and walk confidently into 2016- knowing that God, the divine author, is writing all over this year for you.
See you next year! 😉 …remember saying that to EVERYONE in elementary school? 😉
